SUB CONTRACTOR OPPORTUNITY FOR BBO CENTRAL AND SOUTH LONDON

Contract total value £55,000

St Giles Trust was awarded the Building Better Opportunities (BBO) Complex Needs contract for Central and South London on the 20th December 2016.

Building Better Opportunities brings together funding from the Big Lottery Fund and the European Social Fund (ESF) to help tackle the poverty and social exclusion faced by the most disadvantaged people in England and support them into sustainable employment.

To bring additional resource into the project we now need to run a short procurement process for a sub-contractor to deliver the requirement outlined below.

Closing Date for expressions of interest: 12pm Monday 16th October 2017.

The requirement

  • Successful organisation to be able to run programme for clients by end of November 2017
  • Total budget available: £55,000.
  • Minimum number of participants supported: 20 (between end November 2017 and end December 2019).

Programme outline:

  • Organisation with experience of working with clients with multiple and complex needs.
  • An intensive motivation and coaching programme (residential or community-based) for individuals who are not fulfilling their potential due to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and struggling to make transitions. To teach participants practical effective tools, techniques and coping strategies. To enable participants to progress towards employment.
  • Highly effective motivational and educational training course with 12 month follow-up support plan.
  • Recognised programme which can evidence outcomes :
  • Improved emotional stability
  • Improved ability to engage with relevant developmental activities to achieve personal goals and improved resilience to sustain them
  • Developing new skills to increase their personal effectiveness and quality of life
  • Improvements in both emotional and social functioning and reductions in PTSD symptoms, psychological distress and depression.
  • 3-6 months later, participants report an improvement in their employment and housing situation and increased communication with family and friends.
  • Instil confidence, self-esteem and resilience
  • To enable participants to engage more effectively with agencies that offer support to meet their housing, welfare and employment needs and which ultimately lead to greater independence.

The procurement

We anticipate sending electronic tender documents to interested parties on the 17th October allowing 3 weeks for their completion. However if we receive seven or more expressions of interest we will introduce an interim PQQ stage to sift down to six providers before issuing the final tender documents.

Tenders issued: 17th October 2017

Closing date for return of tenders: 7th November 2017

Contract Award: w/c 13th November
