A well-established charity that helps ex-offenders and disadvantaged people to move their lives forward, St Giles Trust offers support to help people overcome any issues that might be holding them back. Often this is provided by the people who know best how to help – those who have been there themselves. Working in prisons and with prison leavers to prevent the likelihood of someone re-offending on release is a big part of what we do and it's here that we most need your invaluable skills and expertise.

About this role

Our successful candidate will work closely with St Giles Trust’s dynamic Fundraising Team to maximise income by helping to coordinate fundraising for individual donors and challenge event participants, plus researching and applying to charitable trusts and foundations.

You will also assist across a range of fundraising activities and events, as well as maximising support to St Giles Trust through the receipt of gifts in kind or pro-bono support. Developing and maintaining an understanding of the charity’s work is a vital component of this role, as is reporting regularly against income targets.

To secure this exciting opportunity, you must have:

  • A minimum of one year’s experience in a fundraising environment.
  • A sound working knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets and databases, including
    fundraising databases.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to effectively prioritise your work.
  • Calm, flexible and adaptable, you must be an excellent verbal and written communicator.
  • Sympathy with the aims and ethos of St Giles as an organisation.
  • Be willing to provide an enhanced DBS check and other disclosure as required, including references.
